By day, I embrace my nerdy science side, working as the Visual Information Lead for NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory. (And, it is orbiting the earth right now, about 1/3 of the way to the moon as you read this!) I translate cosmic data into visuals that spark curiosity and help kids (and grown-ups) see how the universe connects to their everyday lives.

By night, I wrestle with gouache (and colored pencils and pastels and collage), creating illustrations about small moments and big emotions. When I’m not thinking about color, I’m hiking with my dogs, reading books about trees, and dreaming about swimming in the ocean.
